Senior Petroleum Geologist

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Petroleum Geologist to join their innovative team. This position is designed for remote work, offering flexibility while maintaining a critical role in geological exploration and asset evaluation within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be instrumental in identifying and characterizing hydrocarbon prospects, integrating diverse geological datasets to build robust subsurface models.

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and seismic interpretation to identify potential hydrocarbon plays.
• Integrate well log data, core analysis, and other geological information to develop detailed subsurface models.
• Perform basin analysis and play fairway assessments to support exploration strategies.
• Evaluate exploration and development opportunities, including risk assessment and volumetric calculations.
• Collaborate closely with reservoir engineers, geophysicists, and drilling engineers in a virtual team setting.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in petroleum geology and exploration.

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in petroleum exploration geology within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Expertise in seismic interpretation , well log analysis, and core description.
• Proficiency with geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work independently.
