Role overview
This is an invitation to join an expert talent pool supporting AI research projects as a Physics Specialist. The work centers on auditing physics papers and the graphical abstracts that large language models produce to summarize them, ensuring the visuals faithfully represent the underlying science. Selected experts provide the grounded domain feedback that helps improve how AI systems communicate scientific findings.
Responsibilities- Review physics research papers alongside graphical abstracts generated by an LLM
- Identify and flag cases where the graphical abstract misrepresents the source paper
- Deliver structured feedback that helps refine and improve cutting-edge AI models
- Complete paid, focused tasks that typically require up to one hour of uninterrupted attention
- Apply consistent standards of scientific rigor when evaluating figures, claims, and summaries
- Master's degree or higher in physics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in physics, with a verifiable professional profile such as a Linked In presence
- Prior experience with fact-checking, peer review, or AI-related evaluation tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate on complex tasks for up to an hour
- Reliable, fast internet connection and access to a computer
- Experience interpreting or designing graphical abstracts and scientific figures
- Fully remote, flexible advisory work; assignments vary in length and many are shorter than one hour
- Typical compensation of $40+ per hour for completed tasks
- Pool membership does not guarantee project work; assignments depend on client demand and profile fit
- Position tagged for candidates based in or near Montreal
