Petroleum Geologist - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Petroleum Geologist to join their remote exploration team. This position is instrumental in identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon plays and prospects through the detailed analysis of geological data. You will be responsible for integrating diverse datasets, including seismic, well logs, and core samples, to construct robust geological models and assess reservoir potential. • Interpret geological and geophysical data to delineate potential hydrocarbon traps and reservoirs.
• Perform basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy studies, and sedimentological interpretations.
• Integrate well log, core, and seismic data to build and refine subsurface geological models.
• Assess prospectivity, estimate volumes, and quantify geological risk for exploration opportunities.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and other disciplines remotely.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, presentations, and maps for internal review and decision-making.

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology or Petroleum Geology.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in petroleum exploration geology within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Expertise in seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and basin evolution.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for a remote role.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote-first environment.
