Exploration Geophysicist

Our client is looking for a skilled Exploration Geophysicist to join their growing team, based remotely but supporting operations primarily focused around Pretoria . This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating new hydrocarbon prospects through the interpretation of geophysical data. You will utilize advanced seismic processing and interpretation techniques to build subsurface models and assess exploration risks. • Process, interpret, and integrate various geophysical data (seismic, gravity, magnetic) to delineate potential hydrocarbon plays.
• Build and refine 2D and 3D geological models incorporating geophysical constraints.
• Assess exploration risks and uncertainties associated with identified prospects.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to validate exploration concepts and optimize data acquisition strategies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on geophysical findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of new geophysical technologies and methodologies.

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in exploration geophysics.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Kingdom Suite, IHS Markit) and data processing workflows.
• Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and attribute analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex geological scenarios remotely.
• Experience with probabilistic exploration risk assessment is advantageous for this Pretoria
