Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Scientist with expertise in Analytical Chemistry to join their distinguished research and development team based in Bloemfontein. This role is critical for developing and validating analytical methods to characterize novel compounds and formulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, purity, and stability of products through rigorous testing and analysis. Working within a state-of-the-art laboratory, you will contribute to significant scientific projects, collaborate with chemists and formulation scientists, and uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity.

- Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve method-related issues.
- Conduct stability studies and interpret data to determine product shelf-life.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports, summaries, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Mentor junior analytical chemists and provide technical guidance.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry within a research or pharmaceutical setting.
- Expertise in chromatography (HPLC, GC) and various spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis, IR, MS).
- Strong understanding of method validation principles and regulatory guidelines.
