Remote Chemical Analyst

Our client is seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Remote Chemical Analyst to join their quality control and research team, supporting operations linked to Mossel Bay . In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for performing complex chemical analyses, interpreting data, and ensuring the consistent quality and integrity of our chemical products. You will leverage advanced analytical instrumentation and techniques, working independently to support various R&D and production needs.

• Perform a wide range of chemical analyses using advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, ICP-MS).
• Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Interpret analytical data, troubleshoot instrumentation issues, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare comprehensive analytical reports for research and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate remotely with R&D scientists and production teams to provide analytical support and problem resolution.
• Manage and maintain analytical equipment, including calibration and routine servicing.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical analysis laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with a variety of analytical instruments and techniques is essential.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Excellent data interpretation, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
