Provide direct oversight of security operations including directing officers/security site services in security operations, field activities, and procedure use and adherence. Authorize maintenance and testing activities for security equipment to ensure equipment status is maintained. Implement the Security Plan and Security procedures and direct the required procedural steps to protect the site in hostile or abnormal conditions. Oversee special projects as determined by the Security Shift Manager/Security Shift Operations Manager.

Off‑hours, weekend and shift work is required.

• Ensuring that all patrols and compensatory measures are conducted and in place.
• Ensuring that sufficient armed responders are designated and available for immediate response.
• Conducting OJT/TPE's to evaluate security personnel performance.
• Ensuring proper schedules are in place and rotations of personnel are fair and consistent.
• Ensuring compensatory posts meet requirements and that safeguards measures are maintained.
• Completing Performance Evaluations and FMS on the Security Officers.
• Other duties as delegated by the Security Shift Manager/Security Shift Operations Manager.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 3 years as an Armed Security Officer or previously qualified as an Armed Security Nuclear Supervisor or 4 years of military, law enforcement, or relevant leadership experience.
• Must meet and maintain nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
• A valid Real  an approved form of alternate documentation (see ) is required for this position by May 7, 2027.
• Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
• Will be required to obtain and maintain Armed Responder Qualification.
• Must obtain an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisor's Test (FLST) unless presently and directly supervising PSEG (i.e. responsible for performance review) blue collar, operating department/represented associates for a minimum of 12 continuous months.
