Job SummaryThe PSR Security staff member helps provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students, families, volunteers, and staff participating in the Parish School of Religion (PSR) program. This position supports the mission of the parish by ensuring campus safety, monitoring traffic flow during drop‑off and pick‑up times, and responding appropriately to safety concerns or incidents that may arise during PSR sessions.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct safety and security checks throughout the parish and school campus, including indoor and outdoor areas during PSR sessions.
- Help ensure the safety and well‑being of PSR students, volunteers, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor campus activity and report concerns, incidents, or unusual behavior to the Assistant Director of Faith Formation.
- Respond appropriately to situations that arise during PSR, including:
- Student behavior concerns
- Suspicious persons or vehicles
- Illness or injury
- Safety hazards or emergencies
- Direct and assist with incoming and outgoing traffic during PSR drop‑off and pick‑up times to maintain safe student entry and dismissal procedures.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence during PSR hours.
- Support parish safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Promote a welcoming, respectful, and faith‑centered environment for families and visitors.
- Ability to walk throughout campus facilities and grounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods during student arrival and dismissal
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed
- Part‑time position
- Hours primarily scheduled during PSR class sessions, including evenings and/or weekends during the academic year
All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre‑employment screening.
