Asset Protection Specialist – Part Time
Talbots is a leading omni‑channel specialty retailer of women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. This part‑time Asset Protection Specialist will work at the Talbots Home Office in Hingham, MA on two 12‑hour weekend shifts (Noon to Midnight on Saturday and Sunday).
About the Role
The Asset Protection Specialist has thorough knowledge of Knit Well Group’s security and life safety procedures and is responsible for protecting the enterprise assets, which include associates, products, and property. This individual must maintain company and departmental policy and procedural expertise, remain ready to respond to incidents related to life safety and asset protection, and provide detailed reporting to various staff and support departments.
Responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and assist associates, vendors, and visitors upon arrival.
- Verify associates are on the approved entry list and log visitors/vendors.
- Create s and assign appropriate security clearance.
- Maintain knowledge of and monitor facilities CCTV and access control systems.
- Answer and transfer internal and external phone calls.
- Initiate internal and external investigations based on daily inspection findings or other information.
- Create incident/injury reports and provide first aid when needed.
- Build productive business relationships and demonstrate understanding of each function.
- Make informed decisions based on the department’s P & P’s.
- Support AP management by completing asset protection vendor management responsibilities.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed by Asset Protection Management.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Corporate Security preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Self‑motivated and able to work with little or no supervision during shift.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
