About the RoleThe Entry Control Specialist (Security Management Support) position will provide SCIF Entry Control and shall include physically manning the entry post at assigned locations, conducting security checks, and controlling access to designated areas.
Additional Responsibilities- Maintain a security visitor log, prepare files and reports, maintain security equipment in an acceptable state and keep the entry post in a clean and presentable manner.
- In-process visitors, issue badges, verify paperwork and inspect incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.
- Conduct physical security checks.
- Process paperwork including reports and schedules.
- Maintain control of databases and access to web-based systems for personnel security verification.
- In-process, provide education (per operating procedures), and badge permanent employees and visitors.
- Assist with internal conferences and meetings.
- Receive, transmit, and file visit requests for assigned personnel and visitors.
- Update forms, databases, records, and internal website links (Joint Personnel Adjudication System, Joint Access Database Environment, Defense Information System Security (DISS), and Security Information Management System, etc.).
- Apply physical security measures to open/close/secure Government facility, assist with measures necessary for maintenance and testing of facility alarms and facility accreditation.
- Verify security clearance and program access to issue and account for visitor and permanent personnel badges. Sign-in and maintain visitor access utilizing secure electronic capabilities.
- Create and post end-of-day security checklists for all secure facilities, destroy unneeded classified material using approved procedures.
- Prepare and present courier briefings, issue courier identifications, and support contract personnel.
- Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Six (6) plus years’ experience in closely related skills.
Education Requirements- Associate’s degree preferred.
Total experience may be considered equivalent.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and external customers, contributing to a cooperative work environment while adhering to policy and regulations.
Top Secret Clearance.
