Security Officer

Pay Range: $18.50 - $26.83 (actual pay will be based on experience, skills, training, certifications and education).

The Security Officer I ensures the safety and security of people and property by patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergency requests and alarms, and enforcing rules and regulations. The role requires professional and courteous conduct while managing the challenges of a hospital environment.

High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required. An associate’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or military service is preferred.

One year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military, public safety or fire department is preferred.

• Valid state driver’s license; must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles.
• Must complete Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment (if utilized at the affiliate).
