Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- Solid Security Management experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer and/or Facility Security Officer.
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, DOD 5105.21 SCI Security Manuals, and/or DOD 5205.07 SAP Security Manuals.
- Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently and multitask in a fast, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—along with tact and diplomacy.
- Availability to support mission requirements Monday–Friday, with potential after‑hour and weekend work.
Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Program Security and Compliance seeks a Security Manager / Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Facility Security Officer located in Hanover, MD. The role safeguards Sensitive Compartmented Information and war fighting capabilities, working with security experts, government civilians, and military members to support military operational objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead Security Manager for a team of 7 security professionals across multiple contracts.
- Act as Contractor Special Security Officer and Facility Security Officer.
- Manage security functions, organizing and filing administrative program security paperwork to remain inspection‑ready and compliant with U.S. Government regulations.
- Conduct self‑inspections, manage preparations and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel; administer the SCI nomination process.
- Conduct annual SETA requirements with programs; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre‑ and post‑travel briefings, and annual refresher briefings.
- Maintain classified document and media control, including tracking logs of transitioning documents.
RMS Program Security values full‑scope leadership skills. We provide all aspects of security support services, including Security Management, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Security Education & Training (SETA), Access Control, Media Control, and Construction Security Management, with subject‑matter expertise in industrial security regulations.
Desired Skills- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21, ICD 705, 32 CFR Part 117, and other DoD policy and regulations.
- Knowledge of advanced program security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
- Experience as a Top‑Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
- ICD 705 Physical Security experience.
- Completion or ability to complete Facility Security Officer Certification, Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or CDSE SAP Mid‑Level Management Course within six months of appointment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.
