The Global Security Team is responsible for the protection of people, assets, and reputation of Mattel. We accomplish this by hiring, training, & developing top security and investigation professionals, implementing effective policies, collaborating with others, and by leveraging existing and emerging technologies.

- Tuesday 10:30PM-7:00AM (Wednesday and Thursday Off)
As aSecurity Officer you play an important role in protecting
Mattel’s employees, guest (s), product(s) and brands.
The ideal candidateisflexible,collaborative,detail oriented,hasstrongcommunication skills,and prioritization skills.
This position is located at Mattel’sglobalheadquarters inEl Segundo Ca.This is an on-site position and includes weekend and holiday work.
Schedules may varybased on business needs.
- Support Mattel’s Global Security Strategy to protect people, assets, and Mattel’s reputation by providing exceptional customer service and consistently applying policies and practices.
- Enforce Mattel Global Security policies and practices to create a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
- Completes security duties and related tasks asdefinedin the Contingency Operations and SOP manuals under the direction of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisor and Security Manager.
- Completes security patrols onfoot patrols, in a vehicle and digitally to monitor the Mattelcampusesforphysicalsecurity, safetyand facilities-related concerns.
Effectively monitors the access control system, CCTV system, and the “guard tour” management system. - Monitors the fire control panel for alarms and any problems with equipment. Reports any service/maintenance issues to Facilities personnel.
- Perform administrative data entry duties as assigned bythe Shift Supervisors,for incident documentation and communications viathe Microsoft suite.
- Ensureadherenceto access control standardsincludingtheemployeebadge policy,visitor registration,temporary or contract worker check insandintern badging along withother visitor types.
- Ensure sparking lot safetyby conducting traffic control, enforcing parking rules,accidentinvestigationsandresponsetoemergency call box activations.
- Support IP (Intellectual Property) process surrounding confidentiality andcontrolleddestructionof IPper Mattel standards.
- Additionalresponsibilitiesas assigned by supervisor ormanager.
- Flexibility to work on multiple shiftsand or shift timesto support business needs.
- This is an onsite position and does not allow for remote work.
- One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, or military background preferred.
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a valid Security Guard License, (where required).
- Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens, OR be willing to obtain certification through training provided by Mattel (annual training provided).
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and with all levels of the organization in the performance of daily dutiesvia multiple communicationmethods and platforms
- Analytical abilities to think critically makingclear, well-reasoned rational decisions.
- Ability to effectively respond to all types of situations in a confidential manner. Possess the ability toremain calmduringanemergency or stressful situation.
- Working knowledge of PCs and software including MS Windows, Microsoft Office,CCTV and access control is a plus.
