Job Description
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for traveling extensively across the U.S. to support clients by servicing, repairing, and installing new systems, including some commissioning activities. The role requires proficiency in Rockwell/PLC and FANUC troubleshooting, with the ability to read, understand, and edit existing code. The technician will mainly troubleshoot robotic palletizers and case packing equipment, as well as other large industrial machinery.
The position demands frequent travel during the week, while weekends are typically spent at home.
Responsibilities
+ Travel extensively across the U.S. to provide client support.
+ Service and repair existing systems and install new ones.
+ Conduct small commissioning efforts as needed.
+ Troubleshoot and make edits to Rockwell/PLC and FANUC systems.
+ Read, understand, and modify existing code to resolve issues.
+ Primarily troubleshoot robotic palletizers and case packing equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
+
Experience with Rockwell/PLC and FANUC controls and programming.
+ Ability to repair industrial automated equipment.
+ Experience in preventive maintenance and hydraulic systems.
+ Proficiency with PLC programming, control systems, and automation.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
+ 5+ years of field service experience.
+ 5+ years of experience with robotic and industrial automated equipment troubleshooting.
+
Experience with VFDs, servo motors, and electrical circuit troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of Factory Talk and ladder logic is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment involves extensive travel, with lodging and travel expenses covered by a company credit card. A daily meal per diem is provided, with specific rates for full and partial travel days. The role supports a company that designs and builds custom automated packaging and robotic systems, aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and consistency. The company specializes in robotic case packing, palletizing systems, vision inspection systems, and direct food-handling automation.
The technician will experience a dynamic and innovative setting, working with cutting-edge technology in automation and robotics.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
