Field Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Field Installation Engineer to join their technical services division, supporting clients primarily in the Polokwane region and extending across Limpopo. This role is designed to be predominantly remote, involving detailed planning, remote oversight of installations, and providing expert technical guidance to on-site teams. You will be instrumental in ensuring that complex systems are installed correctly and efficiently, even when not physically present at every location.

• Provide remote engineering support for the installation and commissioning of advanced systems and equipment.
• Develop detailed installation plans, procedures, and checklists for field teams.

• Review and approve installation reports, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and field technicians to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced installation personnel remotely.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with a significant focus on field installations and project execution.
• Strong understanding of system design, installation best practices, and technical problem-solving.
• Proficiency with CAD software, project management tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
