The Service Manager HVAC is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees daily HVAC service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and supervising service technicians for residential and commercial jobs. The Service Manager ensures high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair work, supports diagnostic and troubleshooting efforts, and maintains safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating emergency service response, managing customer communications and escalations, monitoring service performance metrics, and supporting training and development of field personnel. The role also involves collaborating with leadership on process improvements, resource planning, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.

• Strong HVAC technical background, including experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and residential systems (e.g., furnaces, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units, controls).
• Service management and leadership skills, including team supervision, scheduling, dispatch coordination, and performance management of service technicians.
• Customer service and communication skills to handle service inquiries, resolve issues, manage expectations, and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Operational and organizational skills such as workflow coordination, documentation, reporting, and use of service management or CRM software.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to HVAC and refrigeration work.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site presence in the Columbus, Ohio area with some remote administrative tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record suitable for field visits and site supervision.
• HVAC-related certifications or licenses (e.g., EPA Section 608, state HVAC license) preferred; prior experience in a service manager or lead technician role is highly beneficial.
