️ Position Summary

As a Parent Partner in Visalia, California, you'll work as part of a team with youth partners, family social workers, field-based clinicians, and program managers to round out the holistic care treatment for youth and families.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care

* You'll be the parent's advocate who will help families gain the skills and tools needed to be independent, confident parents.

* Helping with budgeting or establishing house rules

* providing support during court proceedings, IEPs or family meetings.

* At times when you have resistant parents, you'll use your relationship, shared life experience, and interpersonal skills to gain their engagement and commitment.

Documentation & Communication

* Communicate effectively with treatment team members, supervisors, and client families.

* Attend required staff meetings and trainings.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* At least four years of real-life experience as a parent or primary caregiver and have successfully navigated mental health, probation, child welfare, special education or regional center services for your child

* high school diploma or GED

* Meets all state-required employment conditions, including: DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, Valid CA Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).

* Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.

* Strong writing and documentation skills.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and standard office software.

* Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

* Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.

Work Environment & Schedule

* Field Based position, requiring travel to meet with clients in their homes or community/school setting

* Schedule:

Monday-Friday, Full-time, flexible shifts including evenings.
