Community Shelter Resident Advisor (PT/1st Shift) - (Community Shelter Campus)
SAFE Alliance seeks a Resident Advisor for the Residential & Support Services program in the Family & Community shelter department. The primary responsibilities of the Resident Advisor staff are to provide immediate support to shelter residents, collaborate with other shelter staff to meet residents’ needs, and promote the safety, healing, and empowerment of survivors within the shelter. The Resident Advisor will help create a welcoming, inclusive, and client‑focused environment.

Part‑time, non‑exempt position. Hourly rate: $21.20 (dependent on experience).
Location:
Community Shelter Campus, Pecan Springs‑Springdale. No travel or remote work. Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Essential staff must report to work during inclement weather, working under the direction of the immediate supervisor. In such conditions, employees may be required to stay beyond the scheduled shift, arrive earlier, or delay attendance until it is safe to do so.

- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- One to two years of crisis intervention experience preferred.
- Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual abuse, human trafficking, child abuse, and homelessness issues preferred.
- Experience providing direct service advocacy or case management.
- Ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
- Manual dexterity to operate phones, computers, and office equipment.
- Visual acuity capable of working with a standard typeface size 10 or larger.
- Physical ability to sit, stand for extended periods, and intermittently lift or move 20+ lbs.
- Occasional exposure to adverse working conditions and safety hazards.
- Completion of the 40‑Hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training Program in person within six months of employment, and ongoing annual continuing education.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (including FBI fingerprint if applicable), a pre‑employment drug screen, and TB test (if applicable).
- Compliance with COVID‑19 policies; vaccination is recommended.
