Job Overview

The primary role of the Anti‑Trafficking Caseworker for IRC Tucson is to provide comprehensive, culturally appropriate, client‑centered case management services for domestic and foreign victims of human trafficking (sex and/or labor trafficking). The position also performs programmatic and administrative tasks including training, case notes, case file management, and data collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) and related policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and community agencies to aid victim identification and referral.
  • Ensure acute needs of each program participant are met in a timely and culturally appropriate manner.
  • Assist with outreach, training, and program implementation to meet outcomes.
  • Complete eligibility screenings and enrollment paperwork for all referrals.
  • Provide case management services, including accessing community resources, providing legal referrals, and ensuring services are linguistically appropriate.
  • Complete thorough case notes and track program activities for data collection and donor reporting.
  • Coordinate services across multiple programs to address client needs.
  • Participate in program and donor meetings, staff development, and serve as an engaged team member.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, protocols, and the IRC Way.
  • Complete OVC’s Understanding Human Trafficking Training.
  • Provide remote case management services when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Key Working Relationships

Indirectly reports to:
Interns/Volunteers
Develops relationships with internal IRC Anti‑Trafficking programs and external partners such as anti‑human trafficking coalitions, the Freedom Network USA, attorney offices, law enforcement, and community service agencies.

Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a similar field (highly preferred). Comparable experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience; at least 1 year working with victims of human trafficking or vulnerable populations.
  • Case management and/or victim assistance experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong organizational and detail orientation.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Public speaking or presentation experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork in a cross‑cultural, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Computer literacy and database experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly as a team player.
Language Skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
  • Knowledge of Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant languages used in Arizona is favored.
  • Cross‑cultural understanding and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates and Licenses

Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly within the service delivery area. Must possess or be eligible for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card.

Working Environment

Combination of standard office environment, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area. May require occasional weekend or evening work. Capability to lift 35 to 50 pounds is required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $22.23 – $22.59 per hour. Posted pay ranges apply to U.S. based candidates and are calibrated by location, experience, and skills.
