We are looking for dynamic Career Navigators to work with adults from Ventura County, CA to provide career counseling and intensive case management. The role will support staff and clients in obtaining training and employment in entry‑level health care jobs under the HUD‑CDBG Project HEAL grant. Positions are hybrid, with 80% onsite time and 20% remote work.
Responsibilities- Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One‑Stop system.
- Complete intake and eligibility determination, assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs through interviews, testing, and other methods.
- Enter data and process clients through the Career Edge data systems.
- Assist clients to complete career assessments and to develop a comprehensive Individual Employment Plan (IEP).
- Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
- Process Individual Training Account (ITA) vouchers and other required documents for client training enrollment.
- Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs or job opportunities and follow up on these activities.
- Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients.
- Ensure all policies, procedures and eligibility regulations are followed, maintaining accurate case files with original or compliant copies of required documents.
- Track eligible customers into contracted programs on‑site at One‑Stop centers or in the community per established contracts.
- Meet or exceed program benchmarks; participate in staff events as required including training, meetings and supervision.
- Complete all required reports.
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset.
- Perform other duties and projects as needed.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- 2+ years of work experience in training, counseling, case management or related services.
- 2+ years of case management experience with the ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
- 2+ years of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- Demonstrated teamwork, communication, interpersonal skills, courtesy and high professionalism.
- Experience in recruiting or marketing services.
- Experience and knowledge of workforce and/or government contracts/programs.
- Culturally sensitive service to a diverse client base.
- Role model ability to motivate clients toward goal achievement.
- Exceptional time‑management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience.
Travel:
Position may require local travel up to 30% of the time.
