THE POSITION
Are you interested in playing a key role in protecting and assisting older adults in your community? Monroe County Area Agency on Aging seeks an Aging Care Manager 3 to work with individuals, families, and community partners to ensure safety and well-being. This position allows you to build strong relationships while responding to important needs in the community, offering support, guidance, and coordination for essential services.

- Report Review:
Receive and evaluate reports of need in accordance with the Older Adult Protective Services Act. - Timely Investigation:
Begin investigations promptly, complete required steps, and determine the level of risk to the older adult. - Care Planning:
Develop care plans, arrange assessments, and document case details in the SAMS system. - Community
Education:
Provide outreach and public education on protective services and mandatory reporting requirements. - Case Management:
Manage complex cases, coordinate resources, and maintain strong working relationships to reduce risk. - Emergency Response:
Provide 24 hour emergency services as scheduled and support the Elder Abuse Task Force.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours:
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch break. - Travel, overtime, and after‑hour duties may be required.
- Telework:
After six months of employment you may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time. A securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania are required. Telework availability is subject to change. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
- Minimum experience:
one year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or one and one‑half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience. - PA residency requirement met.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- This position falls under the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
