A little about the role

We are looking for a proactive and passionate Social / Case Worker to join the Key Assets West Australian Team. You will be part of a collaborative integrated team working together to make a positive and lasting difference to child and young people through the provision of quality care in a family setting and provide regular support via face‑to‑face visits and telephone calls.

  • You will work with foster carers and the children/young people in their care in a culturally responsive, trauma informed family centred way utilising a key care team approach.
  • You will monitor and review the suitability and competence of foster carers ensuring they provide a safe, health, nurturing and learning environment.

The base salary for this position is $88,090.08 - $94,788.72 / annum (based on 1.0

FTE) + super + vehicle allowance + fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is a Part‑time (0.8

FTE), 4 days a week, permanent role.

About you

You will have substantial experience in a similar Social / Case Worker role within the social and community services sector with evidence of a proven track record in working with and or on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.

  • Must hold a recognised Social Work or other relevant degree level qualification
  • You will have a sound knowledge of child protection procedures and relevant Child Protection legislation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work respectfully in partnership with wide range of stakeholders.
  • You will have the ability to communicate simply and effectively - both verbal and written.
