The salary for this position is: $5,405.00 - $7,189.00 monthly.
Thurston County Pretrial Services seeks a Pretrial Diversion Officer I as part of its Pretrial Diversion Team. This team works collaboratively with both criminal justice and behavioral health partners to assist individuals in completing treatment-focused diversion agreements in lieu of incarceration, possibly resulting in dismissal of criminal charges.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Managing a caseload of individuals with behavioral health needs who have entered into diversion agreements
* Making referrals to community services providers.
* Monitoring client compliance with diversion agreements and conditions of release, including submitting written reports, making recommendations, and/ or testifying in court as needed.
* Conducting risk and needs assessments for individuals involved in criminal cases by conducting interviews and reviewing records.
* Accessing criminal history databases.
* Communicating with attorneys, court personnel, and community-based providers.
* Maintaining accurate files and ensuring court documentation is filed in a timely manner.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Work Environment - Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Position may experience extended periods of sitting and/or standing.
* Schedule - Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m or as approved by supervisor. Workload demands may occasionally require work outside the assigned work hours.
* Travel Requirements - Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings or trainings and to meet with clients.
* Customer Interactions - Daily interactions via phone, in-person, and video with members of the public, justice partners, and team members. May come into contact with individuals who are argumentative and in highly emotional situations.
