Professional Dog Trainer

Off Leash K9 Training, LLC is a leading dog training company seeking a trainer in the Syracuse, NY area. The position requires residency in or near Syracuse and the ability to board at least two dogs at your residence for 14 days at a time. A reliable vehicle and smartphone are essential, as well as experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, You Tube, and Instagram.

Candidates must complete the 17‑day certification program at the OLK9 Training Facility in Northern Virginia.

• Reside in or around the Syracuse area.
• Source to board a minimum of two dogs at your residence for 14 days at a time.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Own a smartphone.
• Be comfortable using social media platforms (Facebook, You Tube, Instagram, etc.).
• Complete the 17‑day certification process at the OLK9 Training Facility in Northern Virginia.

• Handle and train small and large breeds from puppy to adult.
• Work with dogs requiring behavior modification for anxiety, aggression, and other issues.
• Interact with the public in a professional manner.
• Drive to appointments throughout the Syracuse area.
• Engage in continuing education to improve skills in training dogs and working with people.
• Attend public relations events.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, integrity and passion for dogs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including ability to create dog‑training videos.
• Ability to work during peak traffic periods on weekdays and weekends.
• Self‑motivation and a proactive attitude.

The role offers a salary range of $50,000–$70,000 per year or more, with the opportunity to work from home and enjoy significant flexibility while doing something you love.
