Who We Serve

North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations and agencies to empower our clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within the geographically, culturally, and ethnically diverse communities we serve. North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

At North Bay, we’re promoting opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities. North Bay Regional Center serves over 12,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.

Nature Of Work

An Early Intervention Service Coordinator provides intake and ongoing assessments of infants and toddlers (0 to 3 years of age) eligible for Early Intervention Services under California Early Start program mandates. You will assist eligible children and their families with the coordination of other resources, in development of an Individualized Family Service Plan and participate in periodic reviews of the IFSP every six months or more frequently if conditions warrant and take an active role in transition services for toddlers.

You will provide service coordination to assist the families in accessing services necessary to enhance the development of the child and the capacity of the family to meet the needs of the child. You may participate in educational and prevention out‑reach activities and serve as liaison to other community organizations that work with populations at high risk for having a developmental disability.

Requirements

MINIMUM

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a master’s degree in social work or a related field from an accredited university; be a credentialed Speech Pathologist or Nurse with a PHN or PNP certification and three years of experience in working with children in early intervention agencies and resources.
  • OR
  • A bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in a professional position at NBRC or another California Regional Center with child case carrying responsibility can be substituted for the above.

Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities). Knowledge of early childhood development.

Special Requirements

Ability to provide transportation during working hours and after‑hours emergencies or access to another form of reliable transportation which meets requirements. Ability to provide minimum legal automobile liability insurance. Flexibility in work hours is required to meet the needs of the regional center constituency. This position will be primarily based in the office; however, a hybrid remote work schedule may also be available.

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
