Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma‑informative and evidence‑based/evidence‑informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0‑18) and their families, both virtually and in person.

As a Wraparound Facilitator in the WRAP department you will provide education and assistance in navigating the child‑serving systems (child welfare, education, behavioral/mental health, juvenile justice, school, primary care, etc.). A typical day includes supporting others working with the youth to understand youth culture, assisting the youth to understand and express their needs, goals and decisions, role‑model effective behavior, showing healthy relationships, positive responses to stress and conflict, and demonstrating positive social skills.
Whatwill you do as a Wraparound Facilitator?
- Provide education and assistance in navigating child‑serving systems.
- Support others working with youth in understanding youth culture.
- Assist youth in expressing needs, goals and decisions.
- Role‑model effective behavior and healthy relationships.
- Show positive responses to stress and conflict.
- Demonstrate positive social skills.
- Starting pay range: $19.00–$21 per hour.

- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a Qualified Professional in NC.
- Valid driver’s license and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards pertinent to the department.
- Must pass drug screening and an extensive background check.
- Position requires mobility in the counties served (Mecklenburg, Stanly, Union, and Cabarrus counties), remote work, and occasional commute to office.
