Early Intervention Developmental Specialist

As an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist, you'll partner with families of infants and toddlers (birth–3) to support developmental growth during the most critical years of life. Through home visits, community-based services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you'll help children build the skills they need to thrive.
What You'll DoDeliver family-centered services
- Provide home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategies
- Support children in fully participating in inclusive community settings with typical peers
- Conduct telehealth sessions as needed
Lead IFSP coordination and progress monitoring
- Partner with families to develop, implement, and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
- Coordinate services and supports identified in the IFSP
- Monitor functional outcomes and complete six-month reviews and required documentation
- Assist with transition planning at least six months prior to discharge, including referrals and participation in IEP meetings when applicable
Collaborate and advocate
- Serve as a liaison between families, ancillary providers, and school systems
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetings
- Ensure services and communication are culturally and linguistically responsive
Maintain compliance and documentation
- Complete session notes and required paperwork within established timelines
- Maintain accurate records for assigned children
- Follow DPH and organizational standards for documentation, confidentiality, and training
What You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Minimum of four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlers
- At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under age five
- Strong time management skills
- Works well as part of a team
Preferred
- Bilingual skills
- Experience in home-based or community-based early intervention services
- Knowledge of IFSP development and transition planning
