Position Overview
This role is all about helping people. You’ll work directly with Michigan residents to review their requests, check eligibility, and make sure their applications meet requirements. You’ll process a variety of transactions, answer questions, and help customers understand different services and online options. If you like working with people, staying organized, and getting things done accurately and on time, this job gives you a meaningful way to serve your community.
Responsibilities- Review requests from Michigan residents and verify eligibility.
- Process a variety of transactions and ensure applications meet required standards.
- Answer customer questions and provide information on services and online options.
- Maintain accurate records and follow up on pending or incomplete applications.
- Assist with occasional relief assignments at other branch offices.
Education and Experience
- High school completion or equivalent.
- Level 6 – No specific type or amount of experience required.
- Level 7 – One year of experience equivalent to a Department of State Aide 6.
- E8 – Two years of experience equivalent to a Department of State Aide, including one year equivalent to a Department State Aide 7.
- Subject to a comprehensive background check, including driving record, criminal history, fingerprinting, drug testing, and reference checks.
- Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship and comply with all security and citizenship verification requirements.
- May be required to complete secure driver’s license and personal identification card background checks as mandated by state law.
- Compliance with all standard federal and state employment regulations and security protocols.
