ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for hard-working, ambitious people to work as a Child Support Caseworker (Compliance Agent I) to:
- Receive extensive training to learn the process of legally establishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing orders by collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within the order.
- Verify and/or correct balances owed, determine appropriate legal action including garnishment or liens.
- Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
- Conduct research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services' rules, regulations, and policies.
- Proficiency in a technology-driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Exceptional ability to multi-task and quickly make decisions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism, without prejudice or bias.
- Ability to effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments, and/or arrange payment plans for money owed.
- Effectively interpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws, and regulations.
