** POSITION SPECIFICS
** Penn State is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive
** Conflict Response Specialist.
** This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
The Conflict Response Specialist reviews and investigates student conduct cases; hold administrative hearings and determines sanctions as necessary; create and provides workshops for students, faculty, and staff integrating civility, student engagement, and student success. Assists with programs and activities to promote student engagement and increase awareness regarding campus civility and code of conduct; interpret and enforce the Student Code of Conduct including the shared development and management of the Student Organization Conduct Process within the Office of Student Conduct;
consult with faculty and staff about individual student situations.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Investigate cases of alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct by students
* Manage individual student conduct cases
* Interview relevant parties, gather relevant information, and prepare investigative packets to be used in case management
* Communicate frequently with University and State College Police (and other relevant police agencies), Center for Women Students, Residence Life, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Centre County Women's Resource Center, Office of Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response, the Office of Ethics and Compliance, etc.
* Collaborate with the Office of Student Activities, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Compliance, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, and Campus Recreation to create and provide training and education
* Work closely with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Compliance and Office of Student Activities to establish risk management, hazing, and alcohol education plans
* Provide insight to students on policy and procedures related to pre-admission and re-enrollment
* Administer interim suspensions when necessary
* Train interested staff and faculty to serve as co-investigators.
* Manage volunteers and organization of investigations
* Participate in University Conduct Board hearings, providing testimony related to the investigation of the incident
* May participate in threat assessment and risk reduction in crisis level cases
* May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management
** MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

** The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $86,400.00.
