performs individual counseling and instruction to at-risk youth in the area of performance, personal problems, and behavioral problems.
supervises and ensures physical safety and well-being of youth program participants.
ensures safety and security of campus buildings and grounds.
maintains records of student movement/facility functions with professionalism and in accordance with all laws/regulations/policies.
performs other duties as assigned.
note: this is a critical need position; therefore, the staff member must be able to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather events in order to provide coverage for a 24-hour facility.
- the duties of this position do not allow for remote work.
- this position will be working with at-risk youth; employees may be subject to verbal abuse from students.
- transporting youth is required, so you must possess and must maintain a valid arkansas driver's license and meet the eligibility requirements covered by the state insurance policy (check your driver record points).
- must wear a uniform and maintain military-style grooming and appearance.
this position is at the division of youth services - civilian student training program facility located at camp joe t. Robinson in north little rock, ar.
this position is eligible for a shift differential if assigned to either a mid shift or a night shift. Regular weekend duty schedules are eligible for a weekend shift differential.
previous experience working with at-risk youth preferred.

job summarythe social services assistant provides supportive services to social workers, case managers, and clients. This role assists with administrative tasks, outreach efforts, and client referrals to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
