Overview
King County Housing Authority (KCHA) is recruiting a Resident Services Coordinator to serve households in Southwest Region, including families, seniors, and disabled residents in White Center and surrounding areas. The role assists residents by providing information, referrals to community resources, fostering community engagement, and supporting resident stability and independence.
Responsibilities- Work with KCHA staff and Public Housing participants to support resident stability.
- Assess resident needs and provide information and referrals to social services; help residents apply for and maintain entitlements.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners and act as a liaison between residents, local agencies, and community councils.
- Maintain client confidentiality and document all resident contact in client software systems including ETO.
- Coordinate, plan, and implement community events (e.g., summer BBQ, resource fairs, community network meetings, learning workshops); use Zoom or phone as alternatives when necessary.
- Meet with residents to discuss their situation, help problem‑solve, and resolve challenges.
- Participate in developing and implementing goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Use data tracking software (OnBase, ETO, Ten Mast, Yardi) to input data, verify accuracy, and maintain participant files per department standards.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation in accordance with department standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in social work, early education, housing programs, or community development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn database software such as OnBase, ETO, Ten Mast, Yardi.
- Consent to and pass required assessments.
- Must be able to travel regularly between work sites and possess reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license may be required.
- May be required to complete a criminal background check.

The hourly salary range is $40.76–$55.01, depending on qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and long‑term disability insurance, vacation, sick and personal leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.
Work EnvironmentIncumbents must be able to meet physical requirements such as mobility, balance, coordination, vision, hearing, and dexterity. Reasonable accommodations may be made. After initial onboarding, remote work may be authorized up to 40% of the time, subject to regular review.
Physical Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office and at KCHA sites, requiring occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Duties include sitting, speaking, using hands, repetitive motions, standing, walking, and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The setting is moderately noisy.
