Position Overview
Are you interested in helping improve substance use disorder treatment services in Pennsylvania? Do you like reviewing information, solving problems, and working with different providers? If you are detail-oriented and enjoy thinking through complex issues, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs has a great opportunity for you. This role gives you the opportunity to support quality improvement, clinical review, and system enhancements that make a real difference!
Responsibilities- Quality Improvement:
Assist with developing and implementing measures that strengthen substance use disorder treatment - Technical Assistance:
Provide guidance and support to treatment providers through education, training, and onsite visits - Data Analysis:
Review information from multiple sources to identify trends and recommend improvements - Training Support:
Deliver trainings on regulations, best practices, and quality initiatives for internal and external partners - Report Preparation:
Compile findings, develop tools, and prepare documents used for tracking, reporting, and program oversight - Collaboration Work:
Coordinate with other divisions, bureaus, and stakeholders to address needs and support statewide goals
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework:
Opportunity to work from home part‑time; required to report in‑office 2 days per week and for special events. Must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved Pennsylvania location. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in a social services agency providing direct social services, case management, program planning, program monitoring, program evaluation, allied health services, or quality assurance services; and a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, public health, human services administration, or a closely related field. Graduate coursework may substitute up to one year of required experience.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two (2) years of professional experience in a social services agency providing direct services or related duties and 24 college‑level credits in the behavioral sciences, public health or human services administration.
- You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
