Schedule: Monday
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Saturday/Sunday off. This position requires flexibility with schedule to assist coverage needs, including one early day and one late day per week. Late/early day will be discussed with supervisor; work schedule may change based on agency needs.
- Coordinate with management in monitoring active treatment of intellectually disabled individuals.
- Provide direct supervision of assigned staff and functional supervision of building staff.
- Provide training and in-servicing to building staff independently and in coordination with the training department.
- Ensure building environments are in compliance with Title XIX standards.
- Assist management to ensure that all policy violations and disciplines are handled consistently and timely.
- Exercise independent judgment in identifying and solving routine problems regarding facilities and services.
- Lead training for Direct Support Professionals in leadership and management responsibilities.
- Model direct care services, including bathing, showering, dressing, toileting or changing incontinent briefs, and oral hygiene.
- At least one year of managerial/supervisor experience working at USDC.
- Direct knowledge and skills related to USDC hiring processes, time management, and upper-level supervisory duties.
- Ability to conduct investigations and direct working knowledge related to professional report writing.
- Knowledge and experience working in professional situations.
- Willingness and ability to flex schedule as needed for situational needs.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience training staff to work with people with disabilities.
- Intermediate experience developing a training program, including documentation and tracking.
- Two or more years paid experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability.
The Role
Develop mentalist Coordinators coordinate with management in monitoring active treatment of intellectually disabled individuals. The Coordinator provides direct supervision of assigned staff and functional supervision of building staff, and is the direct supervisor for the LDSPs on the midnight shift and the up-line chain of command for all midnight shift DSP staff within the unit. The Coordinator provides training and in-servicing to building staff independently and in coordination with the training department, assists management to ensure that all policy violations and disciplines are handled consistently and timely, and ensures building environments are in compliance with Title XIX standards, exercising independent judgment in identifying and solving routine problems regarding facilities and services.
