Job OverviewThe Casework Coordinator provides trauma‑informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants, supporting a positive resettlement experience and the achievement of client self‑sufficiency. This role manages a team of caseworkers, works closely with clients, colleagues, and external parties, and develops service and self‑efficiency plans utilizing a broad range of resources in accordance with client eligibility and program requirements.
Major Responsibilities- Coordinate pre‑arrival case preparation, including case assurance, communication with U.S. ties, and liaison with IRC’s Processing Department at Headquarters.
- Assign cases to caseworkers and ensure timely provision of core services such as airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, and other services per R&P, APA, RTCA, MG, and program guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to encourage timely internal and external referrals.
- Maintain a reduced active caseload, ensuring all clients receive the full range of mandated services and regular progress monitoring.
- Oversee a team of caseworkers, providing daily oversight, delegation, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Support the casework supervisor in cultivating a respectful, inclusive environment for team members and clients.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and protocols, and train or lead volunteers and interns as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned to maintain quality, timely, and client-centered service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of case management experience in a social services environment, preferably with vulnerable or underserved populations.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within the service delivery area.
- Eligibility for, or possession of, a fingerprint clearance card as required by Arizona State Law.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; bilingual ability in Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or another refugee/immigrant language used in Arizona is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem solving.
- Combination of standard office environment, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area.
- Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.
- Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds of furniture, household supplies, and food boxes is necessary.
- Pay Rate: $26.78 per hour, calibrated by location, experience, and skill set.
