SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $94,937.45 to $. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.

Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2b (Civil Division Manager), this self-directed and results oriented individual will manage supervisory staff (team leaders) from several units that handle Civil docket types. The individual in this position will be responsible for preparing supervisory staff performance assessments; developing, mentoring, and coaching plans; recommending disciplinary and/or employee recognition actions; ensuring overall that the team leaders coordinate the workflow handled by staff in their respective units;
reviewing court activities for compliance with laws, court rules, and directives. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for prioritizing work; monitoring work for completeness and accuracy; participating in formulating and developing goals and objectives for the assigned units; preparing and analyzing case processing statistical reports; and creating strategies to reduce backlog within time frames as required by court rule/statute. Works closely with assigned judge(s) and other managers.
Other tasks include the assessment of training needs and requirements to enhance skills and abilities of assigned staff; preparation and administration of budget; monitor on-going training policies and procedures; participate in job/team applicant interviews, handling customer service disputes, assisting with the numerous Civil calendars. Does related work as required. Knowledge of Civil case flow management preferred.
REMOTE WORK :
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in reviewing court activities for compliance with laws, court rules or administrative directives; consulting with judges, attorneys and law clerks; evaluating case management systems; coordinating activities between agencies, government and enforcement units; and/or preparing and analyzing case processing statistical reports.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above
-OR- a law degree may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above. Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
Driver's License:
Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
