Job Title

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an organized, customer-service oriented individual with exceptional total quality management, organizational awareness, and interpersonal skills to join the Office of Probation Services, Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) in the Southern Regional Office (Cherry Hill, NJ).

The selected individual must be able to handle a variety of technical and client support functions in a fast paced office and field environment.

The Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) is a program designed to treat both adult inmates and juvenile offenders in the community under strict supervision. The individual having gone through a rigorous screening process, is given an opportunity to abide by a set of rules and thereby earn their continued release to the community. The reorientation to the community depends upon that individual's commitment to change.

Note:

Although this position is located in the ISP South Office (Cherry Hill, NJ), travel to the Central Office (Trenton, NJ), and other Judiciary locations may be required.

Remote Work:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Example Of Duties
  • Prepare ISP assessments and assist ISP field supervision officers in developing community sponsors, network teams, group and individual community service sites, and employment opportunities for applicants and participants in the ISP program
  • May supervise a caseload of in-patient/residential placement participants
  • Assist field officers in verifying curfews, treatment and community service attendance
  • Conduct ISP intakes and have participants sign conditions of ISP
  • Coordinate volunteer services of ISP graduates
  • Responsible for covering field officers' caseloads in their absence
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Serve as primary and/or backup to handle ISP Screening Board responsibilities
  • Serve as lead during ISP Screening Board interviews
  • Travel, attend and complete necessary paperwork and reports related to ISP Screening Board interviews
  • Coordinate with community volunteers and the Department of Corrections to schedule and conduct Screening Board Interviews

Note:

Court Services Officers work a 40 hour work week and an alternate work schedule which includes nights and/or Saturdays and Sundays. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and one year of paraprofessional experience in case management in the field of probation or community development. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
