Position Overview
Open to current Colorado residents only. This role provides administrative support to the Operations Director and the Forensic Services Operations Team within the Colorado Department of Human Services. The position is hybrid: minimum two days in the office (Denver or Pueblo) and up to three days of remote work.
Responsibilities- Process court orders related to the 2019 Consent Decree, ensuring timely completion and statutory compliance.
- Track, receive, and process competency and civil evaluation orders for defendants as directed.
- Assist the Operations Coordinator in monitoring court dates to maintain adherence to court orders and Consent Decree timelines.
- Collaborate with court clerks, Bridges liaisons, court liaisons, and other judicial entities to uphold and process court orders.
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines, responding to unexpected work from various stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain systems for records, files, and logs of all court orders, ensuring accurate database entries.
- Maintain process for timely database entries in systems used by the Operations team.
- Monitor court due dates for an inactive caseload, ensuring compliance with mandates related to the 2019 Consent Decree.
- Perform other duties or assignments as directed by the Forensic Services Division.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned.
- OR a combination of related education and experience equivalent to three (3) years.
- Experience handling and managing time‑sensitive, confidential information.
- Degree in business management, records, criminal justice, human services, or related field.
- Previous experience as a State of Colorado employee.
- Experience in the public sector or interacting with government organizations.
- Experience managing time‑sensitive, confidential information.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in a legal, court, or behavioral health‑focused environment.
- Knowledge of court proceedings and ability to read and interpret court‑ordered documents.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
- Current Colorado resident.
- Willingness to travel throughout Colorado.
- Shift work eligibility.
