As a Child Protection Case Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and families during some of their most vulnerable moments.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be a steady, compassionate presence—someone who listens, advocates, and helps guide families toward healing and hope.
Ongoing Child Protection Case Management provides intensive social worker services to families where abuse or neglect has been reported. Responsibilities include collaborating with families to develop case plans and safety plans to address maltreatment, conduct home visits, and coordinate comprehensive resources to ensure child safety and family stability. Case Managers monitor progress, advocate for children and families, engage networks, and participate in Court when necessary.
They seek to enhance protective factors to strengthen families with the lasting goals to promote child safety, permanency, and well-being.

This position is located at the Government Center in Elk River, MN, however will also require work in the field. Our regular business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, though the department provides staff with flexibility in effort to strive for a desired work/life balance. Sherburne County is one of the fastest growing counties in Minnesota, where you can find a nice blend of suburban and rural life.
