Job Coordinator for Life Skills, Workforce Development, and College Prep Program

This position will serve as the coordinator for a life skills, workforce development, and college prep program for youth in marginalized communities in Washtenaw County. The coordinator manages and completes the day-to-day tasks/activities required to implement the culturally responsive program. Collaboration with community partners in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI area is vital to execute the program effectively.

• Responsible for program management activities, planning and implementing workshops, revisions to curriculum, collection and tracking of project metrics, and coordination with partners (internal and external to Michigan Medicine)
• Coordinate and facilitate life skills and college prep development workshops to enhance self-awareness, self-management, and positive decision-making for youth at multiple community sites
• Implement the Michigan C.A.R.E.S. model as a multi-generational approach to foster career awareness, exploration, and preparation. Provide youth education, coaching, and resources to increase knowledge and understanding of career opportunities, assessment, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Connect youth with service-learning, internships, job shadowing, apprenticeship, and other programs.
• Collaborate with the HAN manager, community partners, and local businesses to expand the career speakers bureau and create workforce development pathways and employment opportunities for youth in high-demand industries
• Assist with the design/revisions of evaluation tools; data input, and analysis using Qualtrics
• Maintain and update program and project files

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related social-science discipline with 1-3 years of experience working on community-based health projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with and facilitating workshops for marginalized youth
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends

• Master's degree preferred
• Experience with data input, analysis, and report writing
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse community agencies serving marginalized youth
