Bachelor’s degree in the field of social or human sciences from a recognized university. Minimum of two years work experience with children in the mental health field or related social service field. Requires experience in customer service/customer relations. Requires the willingness and ability to work irregular hours as needed to ensure quality standards are met in service delivery. (BHRS certification requires a Bachelor’s degree in a social service field.)
SPECIALKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organize and present facts effectively.
· Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, support staff and various agency systems in order to develop professionalism and coordination within the team, while maintaining an objective and cooperative attitude.
· Professional presentation of oneself at all times with the ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationship with fellow employees, clients, school personnel, and the public while maintaining objectivity and a positive, collaborative attitude.
· Must possess good working knowledge of community social service resources, basic crisis management skills, behavioral health resources, ability to provide trauma-informed care and a commitment to the Sanctuary Model components.
· Ability to communicate clearly and in an emotionally intelligent manner with clear, polite, and respectful communication with staff, youth served, administration, public school personnel, and the community- in person, through written correspondence and on the telephone.
· Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior as well as the ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client information at all times.
· Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
· Such specialized training and/or certification in mental health services or related field as may be required in order to provide adjunctive services, i.e. Children Case Management Certification; BHRS, and state mandated trainings, etc.
· Ability to consistently practice and promote the Sanctuary Model’s seven commitments of: non-violence, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communication, social responsibility, democracy, and growth/change.
· Exhibit ability to effectively organize and plan field-work schedule to best service and maximize the needs of clients, i.e. arranging home based meetings, agency meetings, care coordinator meetings.
· Current Oklahoma Operators Driver's License and a good driving record acceptable to the insurance company insuring the agency vehicles. Must provide own transportation.
