This role supports the delivery of social services to youth and families by providing transportation, supervision, clerical work, and direct assistance to agency staff. It is an active position that plays a key part in helping caseworkers meet the needs of clients. As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Client Transportation: Drive clients to court, school, appointments, or other agency-approved locations
- Visit Supervision: Monitor and support family visits as scheduled by casework staff
- Record Maintenance: Prepare and organize required documentation in line with agency policy
- Testing Assistance: Conduct routine drug testing or DNA sample collection as directed by staff
- Clerical Support: Complete scanning, filing, mailing, and other office tasks as assigned
- Family Engagement: Build positive working relationships with families, caseworkers, and support staff
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one scheduled day per week after approval of supervisor and must hold regular status as SSA
1. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
