JUVENILE DRUG COURT SPECIALIST (JDC/PSR) Full-Time Contractor (1099)

Pay Rate: $30/hr (direct client contact hour)

Job Purpose Statement

The Center for Children and Families is seeking a dedicated Juvenile Drug Court Specialist (JDC/PSR) to provide a range of home-based and group therapy services. This position focuses on assessing and treating individuals, families, and groups to foster healthier, more productive family and social environments. The specialist will holistically address relational and systemic issues to support long-term client success.

You start your day reviewing treatment plans before heading to meet a family in their home. Using evidence-based techniques, you provide support and interventions tailored to their unique challenges. You facilitate sessions for youth in the juvenile drug court program, guiding discussions on accountability, personal growth, and coping strategies. Throughout the day, you collaborate with community agencies and advocate for clients' needs, ensuring they have access to vital resources.

At the end of the day, you document progress, strategize with your supervisor, and reflect on the impact of your work in helping clients achieve stability and resilience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Family Science/Child Studies.
  • Willingness to provide hands-on, in-home services.
  • Respect for cultural differences and families' rights to self-determination.
  • Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • High standard of personal integrity and work ethic.

Accountability

The Juvenile Drug Court Specialist is hired by the Clinical Director and reports directly to the Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for performance evaluations. The specialist meets weekly with their supervisor for clinical supervision and must inform the Program Coordinator immediately in crisis situations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Core Values and Mission of The Center for Children and Families.
  • Maintain contact and face-to-face visits with entire caseload as per program requirements.
  • Maintain cultural and socio-economic awareness when providing client care.
  • Maintain all confidential information.
  • Be available by phone for clients, collaterals, and coworkers as needed.
  • Provide aftercare sessions as necessary.
  • Advocate for clients with community agencies and collaterals.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Attend weekly clinical supervision to discuss cases.
  • Communicate with community agencies and resource providers in the assigned region.
  • Attend staff meetings and clinical trainings.
  • Generate and maintain case notes and treatment plans.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay & Compensation Information

    Full-time, independent contractor position (1099)
  • Caseload:
    Minimum of 16 Direct Client Contact Hours per Week
  • Pay Rate: $30/hr (direct client contact hour)
