  • Experience:

    Proven background in case management principles.
  • Communication:
    Exceptional verbal, reading, and written communication skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge:
    Familiarity with risk assessments and criminogenic risk factors.
  • Demographic

    Competency:

    A solid, foundational understanding of working with justice-involved males.
Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

As a Caseworker, you will play a pivotal role in our clients' rehabilitation journeys. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Resource Coordination:
    Actively connect clients with vital community services, including housing, transportation, employment, medical, mental health, and other social services.
  • Intervention & Counseling:
    Facilitate psycho-educational classes addressing criminogenic risks, and provide targeted counseling for individuals dealing with substance use and mental health disorders (services may extend to family members).
  • Documentation Assistance:
    Help clients obtain critical identification documents (e.g., birth certificates, driver's licenses, tribal IDs).
  • Collaboration:

    Maintain consistent, professional written and verbal communication with Adult Probation and Parole Agents and Supervisors regarding client treatment progress.
  • Adaptability:
    Perform other duties as required to support the center’s mission.
Qualifications & Skills To be successful in this role, you should possess knowledge or proficiency in:
  • Human behavior, behavioral health management, and risk/needs assessments.
  • Local community resources, collateral agencies, and social service providers.
  • Modern workplace technology (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and standard UDC software).
  • The justice system, including its rules, records, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Professional report writing and document composition.
  • Evidence-based interviewing techniques (e.g., Motivational Interviewing).
  • SSI/SSDI applications (including SOAR certification).
  • Facilitating Psych Education classes
  • VA resource Coordinator
  • Medicaid/Medicare programs including Voc Rehabilitation or SNAP.
Supplemental Information &

Job Requirements
  • Preference is given to individuals holding a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) certification or licensure as a Social Service Worker (SSW)
