The Full Case Manager Supervisor oversees a team of case managers responsible for coordinating services and supports for children and families involved in child welfare. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Miami, FL, with a combination of in-office duties, field visits, and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising case managers, reviewing case plans and documentation, ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory standards, and providing guidance on complex cases and crises.
The supervisor collaborates with internal departments and external stakeholders, participates in case staffings and court-related activities, and monitors workload distribution and performance goals. The role also involves mentoring staff, facilitating training, supporting a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, and contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in child welfare, social work, or human services, with direct case management or family support responsibilities.
- Proven supervision or team leadership experience, including coaching, performance feedback, and staff development.
- Strong skills in assessment, service planning, documentation, and time management, with attention to detail in regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, including conflict resolution, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and culturally responsive practice.
- Ability to manage crises and high-stress situations using trauma-informed, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches.
- Proficiency with case management software, electronic records, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field; a Master’s degree and relevant licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMHC) are preferred.
- Knowledge of local community resources, child protection laws, and court processes in Florida; bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including travel within Miami-Dade County for home visits, meetings, and court, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
