Role Description

The Onboarding Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Duluth, GA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for guiding new clients and families through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into InCommunity’s programs and services. Daily tasks include gathering and verifying required documentation, explaining service options, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate records in organizational systems.

The Onboarding Specialist will communicate regularly with clients, caregivers, and staff to address questions, resolve issues, and provide updates on onboarding status. This role also involves analyzing client needs, identifying appropriate services, and contributing to the continuous improvement of onboarding workflows and client experience.

Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and internal teams.
  • Experience with customer or client onboarding processes, preferably in social services, healthcare, or non-profit settings.
  • Analytical skills to assess client needs, interpret documentation, and support accurate service matching and data entry.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, including active listening, written documentation, and verbal presentation.
  • Previous experience in disability services, human services, or community-based programs is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple onboarding cases.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and client management or case management systems.
  • Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
