Trinity Equestrian Center is a family-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit located on a 67-acre ranch just four miles south of Eau Claire, WI. For over twenty years, Trinity has provided Equine Assisted Mental Health Services, youth development programs, and a dedicated therapy program for veterans. The organization combines professional counseling and mentoring with the healing power of horses to support emotional, social, and behavioral growth.

Team members work in a mission-driven environment that values compassion, community, and evidence-informed practice. Staff collaborate across disciplines to deliver impactful, client-centered services to youth and families.

The Youth Counselor is a full-time hybrid role based in Eau Claire, WI, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as documentation and planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct counseling and mentoring to children and adolescents, facilitating individual and group sessions, and supporting youth development activities in an equine-assisted setting. The role involves conducting assessments, developing goal-oriented treatment or support plans, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation.

The Youth Counselor collaborates with families, school personnel, and other professionals to coordinate care, and participates in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training. The position also includes helping with program planning, ensuring a safe and supportive environment at the ranch, and promoting Trinity's mission in the community.

• Experience in Youth Services and Youth Development, including direct work supporting the emotional and social growth of young people.
• Background in Social Work or related human services fields, demonstrating knowledge of case management, advocacy, and family systems.
• Skills in Working With Children, including building rapport, managing group dynamics, and using age-appropriate interventions.
• Foundational understanding of Psychology, child and adolescent development, and basic counseling techniques.
• Relevant education such as a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field; advanced training or licensure is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfort working in an outdoor and equine environment; prior experience with equine-assisted programs is an asset but not required.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and model trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
