Overview
Senior Software Engineer – full‑time, remote location Chicago, IL. The role focuses on developing a modern SharePoint Online intranet and custom SPFx solutions while ensuring application performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and performing regular code reviews.
- Contribute to system design decisions, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and aligned with business requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
- Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and codebases.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of a modern SharePoint Online intranet that enhances collaboration and user experience.
- Develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, extensions, and applications to meet business needs.
- Design and implement integrations between SharePoint Online and other enterprise systems (e.g., Master Data Directory, Financial Systems) using APIs, web services, and connectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience developing and deploying web‑based applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Function Apps, and Logic Apps.
- Experience with UI/UX concepts, including HTML5, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with JSON, RESTful APIs, XML, and SASS.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions.
- Experience designing and managing relational databases, including table structures, indexes, and relationships.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Committed to following all firm security protocols and maintaining information security.
Illinois Pay Transparency Law: the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $110,000 to $150,000.
