The SW Developer works closely with the Content Management (CM) Team to develop methods for optimizing content through workflows. This role works primarily with configurable third-party applications, developing document and data capture solutions to create efficiencies and time-saving processes for departments ranging from simple to complex leveraging multiple platforms to create innovative business solutions throughout the Transportation Cabinet.
Essential Functions- Produce working automated document and/or data processing workflows which include capture and extraction of data through OCR profiles, custom scripts and exporting document packages to multiple platforms to successfully implement solutions for the business
- Work with new and existing content to optimize performance and workflows related to image processing
- Administer enterprise-level 3rd party software working in both front and end environments
- Produce working code to successfully implement business requirements
- Work with both direct management and specific project coordinators to prioritize work
- Perform technical reviews of processes written by other CM Developers, looking for anti-patterns, logic flaws, performance issues, or lack of adherence to supported styles
- Assist management with process design/redesign, utilizing best practices and patterns
- Testing custom workflows and processes
- Working with other departments throughout user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Maintain production workflows/solutions throughout their lifecycle
- Effectively troubleshoot software issues, and perform research for resolution
- Other relative duties as assigned by management
- Assist in‑house support teams
- Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft development tools including SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio (Git‑based Azure Dev Ops Server source control or similar tools).
- Intermediate knowledge in:
- C# and (required)
- Windows Server / Client relationship (required)
- Able to forecast level of effort for development work, and track progress and remaining work in an online ticketing system (Jira experience a plus).
- Ability to learn and gain an understanding of business processes to produce simple to complex workflows
- Understand and design of relational data models
- Self‑motivated and flexible with the ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple tasks concurrently in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Keen eye for detail with exceptional organizational and time‑management skills, an analytical mind, and excellent problem‑solving aptitude
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing development requirements
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in a like role.
- Must pass background check
- Work in‑the‑office with limited remote work opportunities after 90‑days
