We are looking for a Front End Engineer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, an online video startup based in Los Angeles, California.
Our client is the leading free streaming television service in the US. They are defining the future of television, delivering over 100 live, linear channels, in a lean-back experience and thousands of hit movies and television on demand.
Its apps are available across all top mobile (iOS, Android), web, and connected TV devices (Roku, Apple TV, Playstation, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Vizio, Samsung, and more).
Responsibilities- Work jointly with Product, QA and Back-end teams to deliver a best-in-class user experience to entertain millions of users.
- Design/implement features that anticipate failure and corner cases.
- Maintain detailed documentation on features, flows and processes.
- Effectively communicate and document progress via Jira, Slack and Confluence.
- Work with a variety of OTT devices like Set Top Boxes and Connected TVs across multiple countries.
- Take ownership and responsibility for your work.
- Attend and give feedback in code review sessions.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Advanced Level of English.
- Experience with Type Script.
- Experience with Selenium / QA Automation.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience following and implementing software design patterns.
- Able to work with multiple scrum teams in an agile process.
- Experience with unit testing, test driven development, branching patterns and continuous integration / deployment.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate conversations with business partners in project definition, business requirements definition and functional design sessions.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, ability to quickly pick up new APIs/SDKs.
- Consumer-Oriented, detail-focused, and regards user experience as a top priority.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
